The website lists prior guests that vacation rental managers and owners have submitted as being unwelcome at their properties. This services is provided by the Vacation Rental Industry Association as((www.VRIA.org)) a service to its members.
Only last names are used on Unwelcomes.org so that guests are not specifically identified to the general public. Full names and contact information, however, are provided to and searchable by VRIA members on the password protected VRIA.org website.
Renting a vacation rental home offers guests more space, more rooms, better privacy and is often cheaper on a per occupant basis. But renting someones private home carries with it the obligation to behave well, treat the home with respect, exhibit good behavior to neighbors, pay rental charges in full and quickly reimburse the owner or manager for damages.
Guests who treat properties well are welcomed back by managers and owners with open arms. Guests who cause problems, are rude or abusive or fail to honor their rental agreements will find their name listed on this public Unwelcome Guest list as well as the private VRIA unwelcome guest list.
You can check the Unwelcome guest list by clicking here.
Should you suspect your name is on this list, you may contact VRIA directly by email inquiry form, and a representative may contact you. Provide your full name, address, phone and email address. Allow 10 days for response.
